Documented application
2025 GM 25OBDG07A Part2 diagnostic monitor documentation; the application-matrix filename mismatch is unresolved, so no model or engine applicability is inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P02A1 identifies a mechanical open/leak pattern for high-pressure injector 2 in the cited monitor. The controller combines a cylinder-specific combustion problem with a pressure-control problem instead of directly measuring flow through the injector.
The combined trigger
Cylinder-2 misfire count must exceed 100 while the minimum rail-pressure-control error is set. The row gives a five-second interval. It requires engine speed between 1,520 and 6,000 rpm, relative air charge below 100 percent, no electrical injector failure, and no statistical inhibition.
Those requirements distinguish this mechanical assessment from the adjacent P0202 electrical-circuit checks. Passing an electrical continuity test would not, by itself, disprove a mechanically open injector; equally, an active electrical fault can prevent this mechanical monitor from being eligible.
Evidence for confirmation
Retain cylinder-2 misfire data together with the pressure-control diagnostic state. Looking at either one alone loses the combination the controller uses. A smooth idle after the event is also outside the printed speed window and therefore does not recreate this monitor.
Two-trip reporting is specified. Verification should confirm that the combined failure pattern is absent when the appropriate monitor completes. A qualified technician must establish the physical cause using the correct high-pressure-fuel procedure; the code is not a direct leak-location measurement or permission to disconnect a pressurized component.
Documentation and applicability
These details describe the monitor in GM’s 2025 25OBDG07A Part2 file. Its application-matrix filename does not match the download index, so model and engine applicability remain unresolved. Use the vehicle’s correct service information before applying these calibration details.
