P0368: Bank 1 exhaust-cam high means a missing-edge electrical state
P0368 checks the exhaust-cam signal on bank 1 for missing edges with a high input while a valid crank reference remains present.

Documented application
2025 GM 25OBDG07A Part 2, specific documented monitor only. Vehicle, engine and calibration applicability require confirmation; application-matrix filename join is unresolved.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0368 concerns a high signal from the bank 1 exhaust camshaft sensor. GM calls this the outlet camshaft channel. The monitor is about lost electrical edges, not an exhaust camshaft that is physically too far advanced.
High level becomes meaningful during rotation
The controller waits for qualifying crankshaft revolutions and observes the cam level when the signal enters a no-edge state. The documented result is a permanently high level. Ignition must be on, a crankshaft gap signal must be recognized, and backward rotation must be absent.
These requirements distinguish the fault from a high logic level on a stationary engine. They also distinguish it from a valid but mistimed cam waveform, which would involve a different correlation or pattern assessment.
Capture the reference as well as the missing signal
A useful record includes the bank 1 exhaust-cam trace and the crankshaft reference at the same time. If the crank signal itself is unavailable, the evidence no longer matches the qualified monitor described here.
The table uses one-trip reporting and refers to general enable and inhibit conditions. It does not identify whether the cause lies in the sensor, its wiring, supply or controller input. Confirm the exhaust-channel mapping and follow the matching circuit procedure. An isolated high-voltage observation, without rotational and edge information, is insufficient to select a replacement part.
Source and applicability
This explanation covers the cited GM monitor, not every vehicle carrying this code. The application-matrix filename does not resolve cleanly to this file, so no model or engine fitment is assigned. GM diagnostic table, PDF page 591; GM diagnostic table, PDF page 592.
