Documented application

Documented monitors in gm-2025-03a, model year 2025. These are module/calibration examples; vehicle, engine and transmission applicability must be confirmed independently.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P07C0 is transmission input/turbine speed sensor A circuit high. The cited TCM monitors raw sensor voltage above 4.7500 volts as a short-to-voltage signature.

Do not confuse the electrical limit with turbine overspeed

The number is a voltage threshold, not an RPM threshold. This code does not establish that the turbine oversped, a gear ratio slipped, or a mechanical clutch failed. Those conclusions require other measurements and their own diagnostic criteria.

The source describes a fault-detection specification below 0.5 ohm between signal and controller power. It identifies the electrical signature the interface detects, without assigning the cause to a specific wire, sensor or module.

A brief observation is not the whole decision

The shown logic advances a count after failure time exceeds fifty milliseconds, then requires more than sixteen counts. The monitor also needs battery and run/crank voltage above 10 volts for more than five seconds. Service fast learn and code clearing are excluded, as is an active P07BF fault.

Preserve raw voltage, speed information and the enabling supply history together. A later normal voltage does not by itself prove the earlier count never accumulated. Verification should establish a completed passing circuit monitor and valid input-speed behavior under the applicable transmission procedure. This summary gives no safe basis for probing a powered connector by resistance or automatically replacing the sensor.
