P08B6: The second clutch position channel is reporting a low circuit state
Understand Ford P08B6 sensor B monitoring and why a healthy A-channel reading does not verify both pedal inputs.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the documented monitor variants. No individual model, engine or calibration fitment inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P08B6 is Ford's clutch pedal position sensor B circuit-low result in the dual-sensor strategy. Its channel identity matters: a normal sensor A reading does not establish that the second input is electrically valid.
Range and agreement are separate tests
The source lists B-channel low and high circuit codes separately from A/B correlation. A correlation value can be difficult to interpret when one channel has already failed an electrical range check. Preserve both signal states and the complete fault set before using their relationship to diagnose pedal position.
The sensor checks run continuously and have a listed detection period below one second. This differs from the clutch-switch evaluation, which depends on repeated applications at different vehicle speeds.
Confirm that the dual-sensor architecture applies
Ford also documents a sensor-with-switches arrangement on the same page. That alternate setup does not contain the same B-channel circuit list. Use the actual pedal architecture and wiring information to identify the input associated with P08B6.
The summary does not give a universal voltage threshold, connector pin or physical sensor replacement procedure. A low-circuit code narrows the electrical state requiring investigation, but does not identify whether the sensor, supply, connection or controller input caused it. Verification should show valid B-channel operation while the monitor runs and then a credible A/B relationship, rather than relying on a single changing pedal percentage.
Source and applicability
This explanation covers the cited Ford monitor variants, not every vehicle displaying this code. Match the engine, sensor architecture and calibration before applying numerical limits.
