P0AB8: Mount B circuit high is a controller-reported electrical category
Learn how Ford P0AB8 is distinguished from B open/low faults and what the published monitoring duration actually describes.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the cited monitor and transmission architectures. No individual vehicle fitment or universal calibration is inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0AB8 is the active engine mount B circuit-high entry in Ford's table. The detailed representation is P0AB6_12, and the B control is grouped under bank 2. That scope should be retained instead of turning the letter B into an assumed physical location.
Five seconds describes fault registration
Ford says the low-level driver reports the fault and PCM strategy matures it. The monitor runs continuously, with five seconds listed to register a malfunction. This timing describes controller monitoring; it is not an instruction to apply external power to the mount for five seconds.
The source separates circuit high from B open circuit and circuit low. It does not publish a universal terminal voltage that proves the high category on all vehicles. The appropriate circuit definition remains necessary.
Match the evidence to the electrical question
Retain the full module result, suffix and available B-control status. Mechanical vibration or mount movement is not the direct measurement specified by this monitor. A normal-looking mechanical response after the event cannot locate the earlier electrical condition, while a poor response does not prove which electrical element is defective.
The summary provides no connector pinout, resistance target or replacement rule. Verification must map the documented control channel to the actual vehicle and isolate its electrical path using the matched procedure. The generic code alone cannot establish failure of the mount's mechanical structure.
