P0B19: An invalid pack-voltage value is not proof that the battery is discharged
SAIC P0B19:00 concerns invalid high-voltage pack information monitored through the BMS sampling path.

Documented application
SAIC Motor MG4 EV UK Guided Fault Finding DTC Support v1.02; documented P0B19 monitor only; per-build equipment applicability not established.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0B19 is cataloged as hybrid/EV battery pack voltage-sense circuit C. SAIC's BMS procedure defines :00 more generally as an erroneous pack-voltage value. It describes sampling at different positive and negative bus points through the high-voltage sampling harness.
The monitor has enabling conditions
The main relay must be closed, battery voltage must be normal, and the system must have spent one second in high-voltage mode. The setting statement then says the pack-voltage value is incorrect. It does not publish a numerical plausibility threshold or identify a particular cell group.
Consequently, this page does not support concluding that the pack is simply discharged, that one cell is bad or that a particular sense terminal must read a specified voltage. Those would require additional applicable evidence.
Separate measurement integrity from stored energy
The listed causes include harness or connector failure and BMS/EDM problems. The current condition clears when the pack-voltage information is valid, while historical clearing has a separate 40-cycle rule. A valid reading after one reset does not explain why the earlier information was wrong.
Internal battery diagnosis requires qualified high-voltage service and the complete manufacturer procedure. This article supplies no battery-opening, live measurement or isolation steps. The useful next evidence is the full fault record and the technician's distinction between a sampling-path defect and control-unit error, followed by verification that valid pack information is maintained.
This interpretation is limited to the cited MG4 UK manual revision; it does not establish applicability to every MG4 build or another manufacturer.
