P0B6A: block 10 and block 11 must both satisfy the low-reading rule

GM P0B6A uses paired block-voltage evidence and a failure counter, rather than declaring a battery component defective.

Documented application

GM 2010 10OBDG10 Hybrid Diagnostics, cited BPCM or hybrid-controller monitor only. Historical calibration values are not universal specifications; no per-code model, engine or hardware fitment has been established.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0B6A belongs to the block 10 voltage-sensor circuit in this GM hybrid table. The standardized description calls it circuit J low. The source adds a crucial detail that the short title does not convey: the decision also uses the neighboring block 11 measurement.

Reconstruct the stored event

Both block 10 and block 11 must read below 2 V. GM then requires fifteen failing samples among twenty, collected every 100 ms. Capture the pair of values and their timing when available; a later reading from only one channel cannot fully explain the stored event.

The listed classification is two-trip Type B. That reporting classification is distinct from the within-monitor sample requirement. Neither should be translated into a promise that a warning will disappear after an arbitrary number of starts.

Separate the measurement from its explanation

The test is eligible with the BPCM in RUN, a 9–18 V low-voltage supply, and P0A1F inactive. The supply window refers to controller operation, not the voltage expected across a traction-battery block.

P0B6A establishes a reported low condition under those circumstances; it does not establish the physical cause. A hybrid technician should correlate the adjacent readings and related faults with the correct sensing-circuit procedure. Battery opening, connector probing or replacing a numbered block cannot be justified from this monitor table alone.
