P0BE2: inverter B sensor F low voltage should not be mistaken for proven heat
GM P0BE2 is a direct low-voltage sensing fault associated with an extreme PIM Temp 2 temperature report.

Documented application
GM 2010 10OBDG10 Hybrid Diagnostics, cited BPCM or hybrid-controller monitor only. Historical calibration values are not universal specifications; no per-code model, engine or hardware fitment has been established.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0BE2 concerns inverter B temperature sensor 3 circuit low in this GM table. A generic scan description calls the channel sensor F. The diagnostic adjective low refers to voltage, while the controller's temperature interpretation moves in the opposite direction.
Why a very hot value needs an electrical check
The published condition is PIM Temp 2 above 125°C, associated with sensing voltage near zero. That pairing means an extreme displayed temperature can be a circuit-range finding. It should not automatically be treated as a reliable measurement of physical inverter heat.
The controller must be awake. GM lists 250 qualifying counts within 350 counts at a 10.4 ms rate, with two-trip reporting. Preserve the fault's original status and timing when comparing it with later live data.
Keep thermal and sensing diagnoses distinct
The same manual defines separate in-range overtemperature tests. Review the other inverter temperatures, motor temperature and companion circuit or performance faults to determine which diagnostic path the evidence supports.
P0BE2 alone does not identify a particular wire, sensor package or required inverter replacement. Those decisions require the exact vehicle's circuit information and safe testing procedure. A low sensing voltage is not proof that surrounding high-voltage circuits are isolated. Trained hybrid-service personnel should establish the physical cause and verify a credible signal under the monitor's actual operating conditions.
