P0C35: Sensor F low-circuit language is not a cold-temperature diagnosis

P0C35’s cited GM threshold pairs a low ADC result with a high converted battery-temperature reading.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0C35 is the low-circuit code for battery-temperature sensor F in the cited GM controller. The low designation relates to the electrical measurement. The explicit table criterion instead shows a converted temperature above 87.5°C with an ADC count below 680.

Separate electrical evidence from actual heat

A reported hot value can therefore belong to this low-circuit fault. It should not be treated as independent proof that the battery is physically at the displayed temperature. The sensing path and its support conditions require the appropriate service checks.

The failure must occupy 1.4 seconds of a two-second window, with a 200-millisecond evaluation frequency. The recovery criterion returns to 87.5°C or lower and ADC count 680 or higher for two seconds. A fleeting acceptable reading is not the whole documented recovery condition.

Check whether the monitor can evaluate F

Enabled communication is required. Listed sensing-module communication and internal-performance faults inhibit the diagnostic, and the secondary protection self-test must be inactive. Preserve those states when interpreting an event or a retest.

The source strategy sentence says temperature falls below a threshold while the explicit criterion shows the opposite converted-temperature direction. That wording conflict is disclosed rather than corrected by assumption. The F channel's physical position cannot be inferred from its letter; a trained high-voltage technician must use the exact vehicle and battery service information before physical investigation.
