P0C95: Sensor K circuit high is associated with a very cold conversion
The GM P0C95 monitor detects a high-voltage thermistor input represented as a temperature below its low endpoint.

Documented application
2018 GM 18OBDG02 HPC2 / BSM diagnostic monitor; per-vehicle and calibration applicability not established.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0C95 names hybrid/EV battery temperature sensor K circuit high. In GM's 2018 NTC thermistor circuit, the sensing-board pull-up makes an open circuit tend toward high signal voltage and a very low calculated temperature.
High voltage does not mean high temperature
The documented failure condition is temperature below −69 °C, sustained for eight of ten samples at 100-millisecond intervals. The monitor requires system voltage above 10.2 V and no active fault in the listed battery-interface communication group. GM assigns Type B, two trips.
The threshold describes the circuit monitor's cold endpoint. It is not an ambient-weather diagnosis or a recommended battery operating specification. The actual thermal condition cannot be concluded from the code alone.
What the source supports next
An open sensing path is one possible explanation described by GM. Confirm whether K's reported value is credible alongside other temperature evidence, then follow the vehicle's circuit procedure to identify the cause. The DTC does not locate a break or establish which part requires replacement.
After repair, verification should include plausible K data and an eligible endpoint test. A temporary normal value does not by itself settle an intermittent concern. Establish K's actual mapping from vehicle information before physical work. Internal sensing circuits belong to qualified high-voltage service, and this table offers no safe direct-probing procedure.
Source and applicability
This explanation follows the documented GM monitor, not a verified application to every vehicle with this code. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and calibration in current service information. GM diagnostic table, physical page 923.
