Documented application
Mazda3 workshop manual from 2019, revision d9n1-1a-22d_ver10; Mazda M Hybrid integrated starter generator, diagnostic page id140202300000. Generic code identity explained through this specific implementation.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
Mazda's M Hybrid ISG procedure assigns P0E06:00 to a V-phase current-sensor input at 0.1 V or below. The low quantity is the sensor signal voltage. It does not directly establish low traction-battery voltage, a low state of charge or an open motor winding. Those conclusions require evidence that this monitor does not provide by itself.
Identify the phase without inventing a separate test
The V-phase designation distinguishes this code from U- and W-phase input faults in the same table. All of them use one diagnostic procedure. The source consequently supports retaining the exact phase in the repair record, but it does not justify borrowing another phase's wiring terminals or inventing a V-phase resistance specification.
The monitor has a stated precondition: P0A1E:00 must not be detected. That prerequisite matters when assessing a collection of ISG faults. The same source does not tell the reader to ignore a controller-related code simply because P0E06 is also stored.
Present faults and remembered events
The workshop sequence records snapshot data, checks current versus past status and rechecks an active complaint after cycling the ignition and waiting at least 10 seconds. Recurring faults proceed through CAN diagnosis before the ISG replacement decision. An event that cannot be reproduced does not follow the same immediate conclusion.
These are diagnostic interpretation points for a professional; the page provides no external probing instructions for the sensor. The fail-safe can remove hybrid electrical support, motor assist and regeneration. Continued operation may exhaust the 12 V battery. Confirmation therefore needs the complete ISG and vehicle fault picture, with any remaining DTC addressed under its own procedure.
