Documented application

Documented monitors in gm-2025-03a, gm-2025-04b, model year 2025. These are module/calibration examples; vehicle, engine and transmission applicability must be confirmed independently.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0E32 is DC/DC converter voltage-sensor A performance. The cited ECM compares converter actuator raw voltage 1 with its own run/crank voltage. An absolute difference greater than 2 volts is the displayed mismatch boundary.

Operating mode changes the sample window

In bypass mode, the diagnostic uses 320 failed samples in 400 at a 12.5-millisecond loop rate. During auto-cranking stabilization, it uses eight failed samples in sixteen. A normal bypass reading therefore does not prove the faster auto-cranking comparison passed.

The source also includes a failed-auto-crank-event path, but its threshold and event-window wording conflict. This article does not turn that ambiguous entry into an exact universal event count.

Architecture selects the enabling path

The 03A example shows the non-Global-B branch, requiring the sensor-bus relay on and no relay fault. The 04B example selects the Global-B run/crank-or-accessory branch. Both require battery voltage at least 6.60 volts. Those are distinct enable routes, not simultaneous requirements for every vehicle.

Record both voltage readings, mode and relevant supply state. The code describes disagreement, not a direct verdict that the converter output or battery is defective. Verification should include the applicable mode-dependent comparison. Converter-system measurements should follow the vehicle-specific professional procedure; the generic DC/DC name does not establish a particular high-voltage architecture or permit probing internal converter circuitry.
