Documented application
FCA bulletin 07-008-23, June 2023: North American 2022–2023 Chrysler Pacifica RU with 3.6 L EH3 PHEV engine, built November 3, 2022–February 10, 2023.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
Why electric driving may be unavailable
P0E7F-00 indicates coolant bypass valve B stuck open in this Pacifica hybrid case. The same bulletin includes the stuck-closed counterpart P0E80-00. Chrysler identifies possible debris left in cylinder-head water passages after machining, accumulating at the coolant valve. The documented symptom can include loss of electric mode while gasoline operation remains available. That description is a reported condition, not clearance to ignore overheating or another warning.
Stored faults and symptom-free inspections follow different paths
When either listed valve code is already present, the bulletin goes directly to the valve-replacement branch for a qualifying vehicle. If neither is present, its workshop inspection first operates the vehicle for ten minutes in gasoline mode, then five minutes in battery-only mode with heat selected and blower speed below half. It checks again for the two codes. If neither appears, the special action ends with inspection rather than automatic replacement.
A useful repair record identifies the trigger
Ask whether the fault was initially stored or appeared during the specified heating-mode test, and whether the production range and engine match. The documented remedy is replacement of the three-way coolant valve, followed by correct coolant refill, leak inspection and fault clearing. It is not a direction to flush unknown chemicals through the hybrid cooling system. A technician should then confirm the original heating and electric-mode complaint. Vehicles outside the stated build range need their own diagnosis before this manufacturing-debris explanation is adopted.
