P2011: Bank 2 intake runner control-circuit status is separate from plate movement
Explain Ford P2011 IMRC driver-circuit monitoring and why a stuck runner code represents different evidence.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the documented monitor variants. No individual model, engine or calibration fitment inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P2011 is Ford's bank 2 intake manifold runner control circuit result in the cited vacuum-actuated V-engine system. The controller's driver reports the electrical concern. This differs from a functional code stating that the runner plates are stuck open or closed.
Use the electrical check's conditions
Ford lists a five-second circuit evaluation and a minimum battery voltage of 11 volts for the solenoid circuit check. The broader IMRC monitor begins after coolant exceeds 40°F. Those conditions provide context for interpreting whether the electrical monitor had a valid opportunity to run.
The source does not give a separate coil resistance, pin voltage or driver-current threshold for P2011. It would be incorrect to borrow the position-sensor voltage limits printed nearby and use them as control-circuit specifications.
Distinguish actuation from feedback
Bank 2 stuck-open, stuck-closed, low/high position-sensor and over-travel codes are listed separately. A runner that does not move may have more than one possible explanation; P2011 specifically identifies electrical control evidence rather than locating a mechanical obstruction.
Retain the driver status, complete DTC set and actual engine architecture. Verification should show that the circuit check completes without the electrical fault, followed by appropriate functional runner evaluation. The source does not establish universal vacuum routing or component location and does not identify whether the solenoid, wiring or controller output is responsible. A replacement decision needs the matching service procedure and measurements.
Source and applicability
This explanation covers the cited Ford monitor variants, not every vehicle displaying this code. Match the engine, sensor architecture and calibration before applying numerical limits.
