P20A1: reductant pressure-reduction performance needs its own test state
GM P20A1 concerns the pressure-reduction phase of the reductant system; the printed branch expression is retained as a source limitation.

Documented application
GM 2015 15OBDG04 Engine Diagnostics, cited reductant reverting-valve performance example. Printed numerical branch logic remains unresolved; no universal service threshold or vehicle fitment is asserted.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P20A1 is a reverting-valve performance diagnostic in this GM reductant-system example. The narrative describes insufficient pressure reduction during operation. That separates it from P20A0, which evaluates the valve driver's electrical feedback rather than the achieved pressure response.
Start with the pressure-reduction sequence
The table requires the reductant dosing system to be in its pressure-reduction state and lists a starting pump-relative pressure of at least 350 kPa. It compares pressure at the beginning and end of the reduction phase, with additional timing and final-pressure branches.
The printed subtraction and nested branch expression do not translate cleanly into a single reliable service threshold. This article therefore does not simplify them into a guessed required pressure drop or declare that a particular residual pressure proves failure. The exact calibration logic needs clarification before numerical reproduction.
Preserve the beginning, end and elapsed time
A technician should record the commanded reduction state, initial pressure, pressure trace and time spent attempting reduction. A final pressure value alone omits the change that this performance monitor is intended to evaluate. Electrical valve faults also need to be considered separately from a pressure-response complaint.
The parameter sheet does not isolate a mechanical valve defect, blockage or another hydraulic cause. Use the vehicle-specific procedure to establish the cause and verify the commanded response. It provides no safe method for opening or depressurizing a reductant line, and the ambiguity should remain visible in any repair discussion.
