P2324: Coil-driver low evidence depends on ignition architecture
Understand Ford P2324’s driver-on-coil context, positive-torque eligibility and distinction from a module event-ratio check.

Documented application
Ford 2020–2023 gasoline OBD summary; only the described architecture and monitor, not confirmed fitment for every vehicle carrying this code.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P2324 is the low coil-driver circuit entry in Ford’s 2020–2023 gasoline summary. The generic definition associates it with coil I, but the source does not turn that letter into a universal cylinder location. The actual ignition architecture must be established before selecting a test.
Driver location changes the monitored evidence
Ford distinguishes driver-in-module systems, which use an event-ratio check for P035x codes, from driver-on-coil systems. For the latter, P035x and P23xx assessments use coil-driver current and/or voltage outside open or short-circuit limits. The event-ratio criterion should not be assigned to P2324 without that architectural distinction.
The monitor is continuous, lists less than one second, and requires positive engine torque with battery voltage between 11 and 16 V. The lower engine-speed entry is 200 rpm. The upper-speed field is qualified ambiguously in the table and is not treated here as a universal cutoff.
Keep a low classification separate from hardware identity
Preserve the code, coil-driver architecture, command conditions and related ignition faults. A low-driver report is not a direct measurement of spark energy or a conclusion that a particular plug failed.
The summary does not publish the exact current/voltage boundary or connector pin for this channel. Verification needs the applicable driver-on-coil procedure and correct physical mapping before a wiring, coil or controller replacement is considered.
