P2430: AIR pressure can be stuck inside its electrical range
GM P2430 in this example detects a nearly unchanging secondary-air pressure signal while the pump is commanded on, rather than an out-of-range voltage.

Documented application
GM 2009 09OBDG07 Engine Diagnostics, cited AIR pressure stuck-in-range monitor only. Document-level evidence does not establish per-code vehicle, engine or wiring applicability.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P2430 is a stuck-in-range secondary-air pressure-sensor diagnostic in the cited GM table. A sensor can remain inside its normal electrical limits yet fail to respond to a commanded system change. That is the distinction this monitor is intended to detect.
Pump command and signal variation belong together
The source evaluates the pressure signal while the AIR pump is commanded on. Its stated stuck condition combines a small average error, below 0.50 kPa, with signal variation below 1.00 kPa. It requires more than five seconds of accumulated stuck-in-range time.
The monitor also has barometric, inlet-air and coolant-temperature qualifications. A flat signal during an unrelated pump-off state does not establish the documented event, and an out-of-range voltage fault is a separate electrical finding.
Diagnose response rather than the number alone
A technician should capture pump command and the pressure trace together. A single plausible pressure value cannot demonstrate that the sensor responded to the commanded AIR event. Conversely, the monitor's report does not identify whether the cause is the sensing path or another condition affecting the expected response.
The parameter sheet gives no terminal-level test or mandatory sensor replacement. Use the matching vehicle procedure to assess the pressure signal and system response under the specified conditions. Do not infer a blocked passage or a failed pump solely from the general code title. Repair verification should demonstrate a valid changing response, rather than only a plausible static reading or a cleared record.
