P26C6: A low exhaust-valve circuit report must retain the bank1 identity
Understand Ford P26C6 electrical monitoring and the source’s code-label inconsistency before applying a circuit test.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD summary, July 16, 2024 revision; only the described monitor and architecture. Model, engine and calibration fitment are not inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P26C6 is identified in Ford’s bank 1 exhaust flow-control table as valve A control circuit low, represented by P26C5_11. The classification concerns the electrical output path. It should not be interpreted as a direct measurement that exhaust flow is too low.
Distinguish output faults from position rationality
The electrical monitoring group is continuous and lists five seconds. The page separately describes valve-performance reporting and a comparison between measured and commanded position. That rationality monitor has an ambient-dependent duration, so its criteria should not be substituted for the low-circuit check.
The source attributes circuit failures to smart-driver output-fault reporting. It does not provide a numerical low-voltage cutoff, connector pin or universal resistance limit that could be used without the applicable vehicle procedure.
Preserve the published code discrepancy
The main DTC list names P26C6, but the threshold paragraph prints P25C6 alongside the same detailed P26C5_11 representation. This article retains the explicitly listed P26C6 meaning and does not silently claim the conflicting bare-code text is an exact mapping.
Record the full scanner identifier, bank and driver status, and resolve the applicable mapping against vehicle-specific information. A low output report does not itself identify whether wiring, the connected actuator or control electronics caused it. Nor does it establish a stuck valve. Those conclusions require evidence beyond the summary’s electrical classification.
