Documented application

2025 GM 25OBDG03A ECM monitor at the cited physical PDF pages only. Vehicle, engine and calibration applicability is not established by the file-level application matrix.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0265 is the cylinder 2 injector circuit-high code. In this GM direct-injection section, the low-side driver is checked for short-to-power feedback while powered on. The diagnostic judges the electrical state of the output, not cylinder contribution or injector spray.

Timing the observation

The monitor uses ten failures from twenty samples at 100-millisecond intervals. It is enabled with battery voltage at least 11 volts and suitable P062B status, and is classified Type A. An intermittent fault can therefore be recorded even if later scan readings return to normal.

More importantly, a feedback value without the driver command is incomplete. The controller expects a particular response to an on command; the same value seen in another phase may not carry the same diagnostic meaning.

Do not improvise from the threshold cell

The source's numeric cell contains an amperage expression with unclear inequality ordering, while the explanation describes voltage comparison. That unresolved presentation is not a reliable universal current specification. No powered current-injection or component-load test is inferred here.

Confirm the cylinder 2 driver circuit and its approved limits in the vehicle-specific procedure. Preserve related injector-control codes to establish whether the evidence is isolated or shared. A completed passing on-state monitor is the appropriate verification after repair; a plausible fuel-pressure reading or smooth running alone does not confirm this electrical path.

Source and applicability

This explanation is limited to the 2025 GM 25OBDG03A monitor on page 229. Its thresholds are calibration examples, not universal specifications. Confirm the vehicle, engine and controller procedure before applying them.
