Documented application
2025 GM 25OBDG03A ECM monitor at the cited physical PDF pages only. Vehicle, engine and calibration applicability is not established by the file-level application matrix.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P02F0 concerns cylinder 3 injector circuit range/performance. In the cited GM monitor, the key evidence is the voltage-feedback waveform used to estimate opening magnitude and closing time. The controller checks whether those estimates are available and plausible.
The test is conditional on injector travel
The diagnostic requires a pulse width large enough for maximum pintle travel and stabilized coil behavior. It does not judge every tiny injection pulse by the same full-travel rule. Valid feedback data and the general diagnostic enable must also be present.
Failure can result from an undetected opening or closing event, or from a detected value exceeding its minimum or maximum calibration boundary. That distinction points the investigation toward the actual failed feedback feature rather than an assumed generic injector defect.
Evidence for a focused retest
Preserve injection pulse width, feedback validity and the available opening/closing diagnostic results for cylinder 3. The source uses cylinder-event sampling and describes 50 to 100 samples with Type B reporting. Its numeric opening and closing limits are supplied elsewhere in supporting tables.
A continuity check cannot reproduce this dynamic rationality evaluation. Equally, the code does not by itself prove the quantity of fuel delivered is wrong. Verification should demonstrate eligible events and a completed passing feedback test under the applicable calibration. Any electrical capture or fuel-system intervention should follow the correct direct-injection service procedure.
Source and applicability
This explanation is limited to the 2025 GM 25OBDG03A monitor on page 239, page 240. Its thresholds are calibration examples, not universal specifications. Confirm the vehicle, engine and controller procedure before applying them.
