Documented application

2025 GM 25OBDG07A Part2 diagnostic monitor documentation; the application-matrix filename mismatch is unresolved, so no model or engine applicability is inferred.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0347 monitors a bank-2 intake camshaft signal that stops producing new edges and remains low. The source’s A-sensor designation is explicitly the inlet camshaft for this implementation.

Rotation qualifies the missing signal

The controller requires at least four crankshaft revolutions, ignition on, a detected crankshaft reference gap, and no detected reverse rotation. The permanently low state is judged at the transition to no signal.

This differs from the adjacent P0346 rationality check, which evaluates incorrect segment lengths, patterns, or edge positions. A missing waveform at low level and a present but incorrect pattern are separate kinds of evidence.

Diagnostic interpretation

A static low level while the engine is not turning does not reproduce the four-revolution test. Likewise, a later waveform must be evaluated with the correct bank and intake-channel identity; an opposite-bank trace cannot verify this circuit by itself.

One-trip reporting is listed. Confirmation should establish valid crankshaft reference information and continued bank-2 intake edges during eligible rotation. The summary does not assign a specific supply failure, grounded wire, or sensor replacement, and it should not be used as a connector-pin specification. The complete vehicle procedure is needed to determine why the expected edges disappeared.

Documentation and applicability

These details describe the monitor in GM’s 2025 25OBDG07A Part2 file. Its application-matrix filename does not match the download index, so model and engine applicability remain unresolved. Use the vehicle’s correct service information before applying these calibration details.
