Documented application
2025 GM 25OBDG04B diagnostic parameter tables; the cited monitor only. Vehicle, engine and calibration applicability must be confirmed separately.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P062D evaluates the ECU's internal injector-driver boost voltage in the cited GM strategy. The monitor checks both excessive voltage and voltage below a lower hysteresis boundary.
Injector boost is an electrical supply
The upper failure threshold is above 60 V; the lower boundary uses a 40/41 V hysteresis pair. “Boost” here refers to the injector-drive electrical supply, not turbocharger boost pressure. Hysteresis also means one simplistic single-number lower limit would not fully describe the state transition.
The source lists an open injector power-supply line, a boost-voltage fault and an ECU internal fault as possible categories. It does not distinguish those causes merely by storing this code.
Validate the measurement conditions
The test requires battery voltage above 11 V, key on and an engine outside cranking. Its filter is 37 failures among 74 samples on a 6.25 ms task, with Type A reporting after one trip.
A useful investigation establishes whether the upper or lower boundary failed and whether the ordinary battery-supply prerequisite was met. A low battery observation during cranking is not the same eligible event. Verification should use approved diagnostic data and the exact service procedure for the injector supply. The table does not authorize probing high-energy injector-driver electronics, bypassing protection or replacing the ECU solely from P062D.
