P06E7: the auxiliary-pump controller sees its 15-volt sensor supply low

GM P06E7 in the ATPC section concerns an internal sensor-supply channel, not simply the vehicle battery voltage.

Documented application

Document-level 2015 GM diagnostic table; per-code vehicle/engine/calibration applicability not established.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P06E7 in the cited GM auxiliary-transmission-fluid-pump controller section checks sensor power supply C. The table identifies this as a scaled 15-volt sensor supply and detects it below 12 volts while the wake-up signal is on.

Identify the supply being monitored

The 15-volt channel is distinct from the controller's separate low-voltage system-supply diagnostics shown on the same page. A conventional battery-voltage reading therefore cannot, by itself, establish that this sensor supply is healthy.

This distinction also prevents the phrase “circuit low” from being mistaken for low pump fluid pressure. The published evidence concerns an electrical supply used by sensing circuitry, not measured hydraulic output.

Wake-up and persistence shape the result

The diagnostic is qualified by an active wake-up signal. The source gives both a failed-sample window and an alternative continuous-failure duration. A value observed while the controller is asleep is not equivalent to the enabled diagnostic condition.

The high branch is P06E8, which concerns the same identified supply above its upper limit. Preserve the polarity and the controller that reported it when reviewing a full scan.

The summary does not reveal the internal regulator's serviceability or identify a replaceable external component. A qualified technician should follow the corresponding controller and high-voltage-system precautions before any physical access. Repair verification should establish a valid supply report during wake-up and a completed monitor, not merely erase the stored result.
