Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the cited monitor and transmission architectures. No individual vehicle fitment or universal calibration is inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0750 is assigned to shift-solenoid A's open circuit in Ford's general monitor section. That classification concerns the control path, whereas the neighboring P0751 and P0752 entries describe functionally failed-off and failed-on behavior. A hydraulic response complaint does not erase this distinction.
Electrical feedback is evaluated continuously
The summary explains that electrical monitoring is continuous and uses smart-driver fault feedback. Its typical electrical threshold requires the driver-reported fault to persist for 1.5 seconds. Functional evaluation instead observes solenoid transitions and accumulates unsuccessful events.
The architecture table introduces another naming detail: it shows P097A alongside P0750_13 in the open-circuit cell for solenoid A. The generic displayed code and detailed failure identifier should therefore be retained together; the table does not authorize treating every scanner's P0750 presentation as the same gearbox implementation.
Choose evidence that answers the open-circuit question
Record the electrical fault status and command state, and identify the transmission before selecting its circuit procedure. A successful shift at another moment is not a continuity test of the event that matured the fault. Equally, a failed shift alone does not locate an electrical interruption.
The monitor identifies the A control channel, not a universally positioned valve or connector terminal. The source provides no resistance specification or instruction to replace the valve body. Verification should establish whether the reported electrical condition recurs and use the applicable procedure to isolate the affected path.
