P07C6: Intermediate speed A high includes pulse-quality checks
P07C6 monitors the odd-clutch speed input’s voltage and encoded pulse behavior in this GM TCM, not just a high rpm value.

Documented application
2025 GM 25OBDG07A Part 2, specific documented monitor only. Vehicle, engine and calibration applicability require confirmation; application-matrix filename join is unresolved.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P07C6 is the high-circuit code for intermediate shaft speed sensor A. GM maps this input to the odd-clutch speed sensor and includes several electrical and pulse-quality checks under the same code. It is not simply a warning that the shaft rotates too quickly.
Voltage and pulse behavior are separate paths
The average signal-voltage boundary is above 4.230 volts, with 30 millivolts of hysteresis. Additional paths assess pulse-width validity and changes in pulse width. At frequencies of at least 40 hertz, the listed jump boundary is greater than 15 microseconds within a valid range.
The supply VSS1 must be above 8.25 and below 10 volts, while battery voltage is separately qualified. Confirmation uses at least 300 milliseconds, and P0882/P0883 disable the check.
Preserve waveform context
A speed PID alone hides pulse encoding and average electrical level. Retain the relevant input signal and supply information before deciding whether the fault concerns voltage, pulse shape or another listed branch.
One non-direction-pulse clause prints incompatible lower and upper bounds without clear connecting logic. That clause remains unresolved and is not converted into an invented waveform test. The verified voltage and pulse-jump paths still explain useful evidence. The source does not locate a failed sensor or harness section; the matching transmission circuit procedure is needed before selecting a component.
Source and applicability
This explanation covers the cited GM monitor, not every vehicle carrying this code. The application-matrix filename does not resolve cleanly to this file, so no model or engine fitment is assigned. GM diagnostic table, PDF page 918; GM diagnostic table, PDF page 919.
