P0A14: Active mount A open-circuit monitoring is an electrical driver check
Understand Ford P0A14 and why a mount circuit code does not directly measure vibration isolation or mount condition.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the cited monitor and transmission architectures. No individual vehicle fitment or universal calibration is inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0A14 identifies the open-circuit category for active engine mount A in Ford's cited monitor. The document associates this A control with bank 1. That is the source's control designation, not enough evidence to assign a universal left or right physical mount on every engine.
The PCM matures a driver-reported fault
Ford states that a low-level driver reports the electrical fault and the PCM strategy matures it. The check is continuous, with five seconds listed to register a malfunction. The result is therefore based on the electrical reporting path, not a published measurement of mount movement or vibration amplitude.
The same table separates A circuit low and circuit high into P0A15 and P0A16, while showing P0A14_13 for the open category. Preserve the full failure type when choosing an electrical investigation.
What the code can and cannot locate
A useful record retains the reporting module, active-mount command or status information available for the vehicle, and the exact circuit classification. A mechanical vibration complaint alone does not demonstrate an open path. Conversely, an electrical code does not directly prove the mount's rubber or fluid-containing structure has failed.
The summary gives no connector pin, resistance target or external activation procedure. Verification needs the applicable active-mount circuit information to isolate the control path. The documented bank/control label should remain separate from any vehicle-specific component-location or replacement decision.
