P0B96: block 19 plausibility reaches the final block measurement
GM P0B96 compares blocks 19 and 20 with total pack voltage and requires the complete cross-page enable conditions.

Documented application
GM 2010 10OBDG10 Hybrid Diagnostics, cited BPCM or hybrid-controller monitor only. Historical calibration values are not universal specifications; no per-code model, engine or hardware fitment has been established.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0B96 is the block 19 rationality diagnosis in this GM battery-controller document. The generic voltage-sense S performance description does not mean that the controller has directly measured battery capacity. It has detected an inconsistency in related voltage reports.
Include the final block in the comparison
The absolute difference between twenty times block 19 voltage and pack voltage must exceed 70 V. The corresponding difference for block 20 must also exceed 70 V. The row therefore uses the final neighboring block, rather than evaluating block 19 in isolation.
The criterion must fail in 160 of 170 samples at a 100 ms interval. The table's enable list continues onto the next page, so a source excerpt ending at the first page does not contain the whole monitor context.
Review the inhibiting faults
Valid block 19 input, RUN mode, the low-voltage supply window and time after contactor closure are prerequisites. Active low/high block faults and the listed pack-voltage faults prevent this rationality check. Preserve those records before judging whether a missing subsequent code demonstrates a repair.
Compare the block 19, block 20 and pack measurements from the same operating period. The source does not identify the faulty measurement path or mandate battery replacement. The exact hybrid service information and trained high-voltage personnel are required for physical diagnosis and verification.
