P0D73: circuit-low diagnosis is based on an extreme CPU temperature report
GM P0D73 evaluates an implausibly high converted CPU temperature in the compressor controller, rather than defining a normal thermal operating limit.

Documented application
GM 2015 15OBDG01 Hybrid Diagnostics, only the cited EACCM monitor and calibration. Per-code vehicle and engine applicability has not been established; these historical thresholds are not universal service specifications.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
The GM P0D73 row is labelled compressor-controller internal temperature-sensor circuit low. Its monitored quantity is the converted CPU-temperature input. A low electrical-circuit designation can therefore accompany a high reported temperature; the two descriptions should not be treated as contradictory physical measurements.
Understand the diagnostic boundary
The cited failure criterion is a reported CPU temperature above 274°C. It requires 30 failed samples out of 60 at a 50-millisecond interval, system voltage above 10.25 V and Accessory or Run/Crank hardware state.
This extreme sensor-range value is not an allowable controller operating temperature or a safe thermal threshold. The source is describing a circuit diagnostic, not recommending that the electronics can operate near the printed number. Actual overheating concerns need the relevant thermal diagnostics and service information.
Keep recovery and repair separate
The pass branch uses a report at or below the boundary and lists a controller reset as a prerequisite after failure. A reset condition in a monitor table is not proof that resetting the system repairs its cause.
A technician should retain the original temperature report, operating state and related compressor-controller faults before attempting vehicle-specific verification. The parameter document gives no internal component replacement sequence, pinout or safe access method. Investigation of electric-compressor electronics must follow professional high-voltage and refrigerant procedures, rather than treating a temperature-sensor code as permission to open the assembly.
