P200A: key-off swirl-flap learning and response checks
P200A evaluates learned swirl-flap endpoints and movement response during the documented key-off tests.

Documented application
Documented 2025 GM diagnostic parameter monitor in 25OBDG04B.pdf; model, engine and calibration applicability require vehicle-specific confirmation.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P200A is an intake-manifold runner performance code, but the reviewed GM strategy performs its checks at key-off. It evaluates learned end positions and whether the swirl valve moves too slowly. A normal-looking running position does not necessarily exercise either branch.
Endpoint offset and slow movement are separate
The endpoint branch compares the SENT position representation with calibrated fully closed and wide-open windows. The published closed window is 11.70–17.60% of the 5-volt scale; the open window is 84.25–91.33%. A learned endpoint outside its window supports an offset judgment rather than an ordinary open/short diagnosis.
The continuation adds slow-response checks: opening or closing response beyond 0.50 second, and a separate overall test-phase time limit of 10 seconds. The latter row has inconsistent comparison wording, so the precise boundary should be taken from applicable service data rather than inferred here.
Completing the appropriate test
The key-off learning or slow-response procedure must complete successfully. Listed prerequisites include coolant temperature from 30°C to 150°C, outside-air temperature at least −40°C, relay supply at least 9.5 volts and no relevant sensor, actuator or position-deviation faults. The end-of-trip event must have elapsed.
No additional debounce is listed once the qualifying error is present; reporting is Type B over two trips. Verification must distinguish endpoint learning from movement speed and allow the relevant key-off procedure to run. This table does not establish a failed part or universal model coverage, and its inconsistent overall-time comparator remains a source limitation.
