Documented application
FCA 09-023-23 concerns 2013–2023 Ram 1500 DS with the 3.6 L ERB engine. The document prints inconsistent Celsius/Fahrenheit values; no exact temperature threshold is adopted here.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
The limited-RPM code can be a protective result
In this documented cold-weather case, P2110 appears with throttle icing and may accompany P2072 or P2118. FCA also describes a possible no-start below freezing. The limited-RPM entry is therefore not sufficient evidence that the throttle motor itself has failed; ice and moisture in the intake arrangement are central to this case.
The correction addresses more than the throttle surface
The repair includes drying the intake resonator, throttle area and PCV components, fitting revised make-up-air and air-cleaner parts, and an oil/filter change. It explicitly says throttle-body removal is unnecessary for the documented drying step. Merely clearing codes after the ice melts does not reproduce the preventive changes in the bulletin.
Verify the case without inventing a threshold
The source’s printed Celsius and Fahrenheit figures do not agree, so use the actual below-freezing history and current clarified service guidance rather than a guessed cutoff. Confirm the DS/ERB application and inspect the relevant condition through the proper procedure. A workshop should record moisture or ice findings and the completed revised parts, then assess the original starting or throttle complaint. The bulletin does not establish that every P2110 is icing or authorize forcing the throttle open. Persistent faults need current electronic-throttle diagnosis.
