P216E: The group F low-circuit assessment belongs to a powered high-side output
Understand the GM P216E on-state monitor and why channel identity and wider injector-control faults change its interpretation.

Documented application
2025 GM 06B documented monitor only. Vehicle, engine and controller calibration applicability must be established separately; no model fitment is inferred from the file.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P216E is the injector group F supply-circuit-low code. In the GM table, the monitored path is named injector 6 high-side driver. The controller classifies abnormal feedback during an on command as a ground-directed circuit problem.
A valid command is part of the evidence
The internal voltage assessment applies when the output is powered on. A low reading while that output is intentionally inactive answers a different question. The source does not publish a universal connector voltage or identify the physical point at which a short must occur.
Battery voltage must be at least 11 V, and the relevant P062B active or key-cycle failure states must be absent. Confirmation requires ten failures within twenty samples at a 100-millisecond task rate. Its one-trip reporting should not be confused with a requirement for the circuit to fail continuously for an entire trip.
Preserve the named high-side channel
Retain output-6 command and feedback with the supply and injector-control diagnostic state. A normal result from another injector group cannot verify this one, even though related channels use a similar monitoring method.
The generic group-F name and the GM output number need the correct vehicle mapping before a physical injector or connector is selected. The finding does not establish low fuel pressure, mechanical injector sticking or a failed control module. Circuit isolation using the applicable service information is required to identify the source of the electrical behavior.
