P217C: Group G high supply must be evaluated while its driver should be off
Learn the relative signal-to-power criterion behind GM P217C and avoid confusing normal energized voltage with the monitored fault.

Documented application
2025 GM 06B documented monitor only. Vehicle, engine and controller calibration applicability must be established separately; no model fitment is inferred from the file.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P217C is the high supply-circuit diagnostic for injector group G. The GM row identifies the channel as injector 7 high-side driver and tests its feedback during the off state. The fault classification concerns an electrical connection toward power.
A high reading is abnormal only in the right context
The source compares signal with controller power and specifies a separation no greater than one volt. This should not be reinterpreted as a one-volt signal-to-ground test. Without the power reference and command state, an isolated measurement cannot establish the same criterion.
Battery voltage must be at least 11 V and the specified P062B diagnostic states absent. Ten failures within twenty samples are counted at a 100-millisecond interval, with one-trip reporting. One normal reading later in the drive does not reproduce or dismiss that earlier sequence.
Retain the electrical finding without inventing fitment
Record the off command, feedback relationship and controller supply for the named output. A high signal captured during an intentional injection command may belong to normal operation rather than the documented failure opportunity.
The generic group-G label and GM's output numbering do not supply a universal physical-cylinder location. The monitor also cannot prove that the injector is mechanically leaking or select a failed harness section or driver. Use the exact system's circuit and diagnostic information to locate the power-directed path before choosing a repair.
