Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD summary, July 16, 2024 revision; only the described monitor and architecture. Model, engine and calibration fitment are not inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P245E is the circuit classification for particulate-filter pressure sensor B in Ford’s SENT-sensor section. The detailed representation is P245E_01, while U0602 denotes lost communication. The distinction matters before treating a digital sensor fault as though it were an analog voltage outside a normal range.
Choose the correct signal architecture
The SENT circuit/communication monitor is continuous and lists five seconds to register a malfunction. The adjacent analog section assigns P2460, P2461 and P2462 to low, high and intermittent/erratic circuit conditions. Their voltage-oriented criteria are not automatically digital data-line specifications.
The B label identifies a pressure-sensor channel in this table; it does not, by itself, establish a universal bank or physical installation. Confirm the actual sensor configuration before choosing a connector or drawing a pressure-layout conclusion.
Preserve availability and sensor status separately
Record the complete code, architecture, communication status and any internal circuit fault information available from the controller. A digital sensor that reports a fault and a sensor from which communication is missing are not equivalent observations.
The source does not identify a blocked particulate filter or prove a pressure-sensor replacement is required from P245E alone. Vehicle-specific digital-signal and pressure-sensing diagnosis is needed to localize the cause. Applying the analog section’s voltage limits without confirming the architecture would not verify this documented circuit classification.
