P062E: Bank-two injector-driver performance concerns the high-voltage supply

Ford diesel P062E distinguishes a shared bank-two driver-supply fault from a single injector circuit fault.

Documented application

Ford 2023–2024 diesel OBD summary, revised August 25, 2023; these are documented monitor examples, not confirmed fitment or universal thresholds for every vehicle carrying this generic code.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P062E identifies fuel-injector driver circuit performance on bank two. Ford’s diesel summary says the driver’s integrated-circuit logic has detected a high-voltage supply failure. This is broader than naming one cylinder’s injector and is not the same observation as an individual injector open or short circuit.

Bank-level evidence versus cylinder evidence

The documented monitor runs continuously with a typical duration of 0.5 second. Ford assigns P062D to the corresponding bank-one driver classification. Separate P0201–P0208 and low/high injector-circuit codes identify individual cylinder channels under their own electrical checks.

That distinction changes how a group of codes should be interpreted. Several injector-channel complaints alongside a bank-level supply fault should be considered together; their coexistence does not establish that every injector independently failed. This is an interpretation of the shared diagnostic level, not an OEM replacement instruction.

Preserve the system boundary

The page attributes detection to internal driver logic but does not state that the ECU itself is necessarily defective. Nor does it identify a physical bank location for every engine. Confirm engine layout and the applicable driver test information before mapping the code to hardware.

Useful verification separates high-voltage supply integrity from the individual output-circuit conditions recorded by companion codes. The source supplies no bench-energizing procedure or connector-level voltage test. Injector driver circuits may involve hazardous voltage; the appropriate service method is needed before any physical testing. P062E alone cannot justify replacing a bank of injectors or a control module.
