Documented application
Documented monitors in gm-2025-03a, model year 2025. These are module/calibration examples; vehicle, engine and transmission applicability must be confirmed independently.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0967 detects a short-to-voltage condition in pressure-control solenoid B's circuit. In the cited TCM, the voltage decision corresponds to less than 0.5 ohm between signal and the controller's voltage source.
Timing can capture a brief event
The failure interval must exceed 0.06 second within a sample period exceeding 0.13 second. This relatively short window makes a later normal measurement compatible with a genuine earlier event. It does not establish that every brief observed spike necessarily completed the diagnostic; the enable conditions still apply.
The code's high designation concerns circuit voltage. It is not a direct finding of high transmission pressure or an instruction to reduce pressure command.
Map the actuator and its supply
The source associates B with different clutch circuits in geared transmissions and with primary-pulley control in its CVT example. It also requires the relevant high-side supply on and battery voltage between 9 and 32 volts for more than one second. A controller configured without the supply mapping does not run the same check.
Preserve actuator mapping, voltage context and test status when diagnosing an intermittent complaint. Verification should show the enabled high-circuit test passes, followed by the operational checks required for the actual transmission. A normal shift alone cannot establish circuit integrity. This summary offers no connector location, safe external energization method or automatic solenoid-pack replacement rule.
