P0A15: Active mount A circuit low is distinct from the open and high categories

Learn how Ford P0A15 is reported and why the source does not establish a universal mount voltage test.

Documented application

Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the cited monitor and transmission architectures. No individual vehicle fitment or universal calibration is inferred.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0A15 is the low-circuit classification for active engine mount A in Ford's summary. It is paired with P0A14_11 and grouped under the source's bank 1 designation. Neither that bank label nor the letter A establishes a universal physical side of the vehicle.

Follow the driver's classification

The documented strategy receives a fault report from the low-level driver and matures it in the PCM. Monitoring is continuous, and the operation table lists five seconds to register a malfunction. It does not publish a specific external voltage boundary for the reader to apply to an unknown connector.

Ford keeps the A open-circuit and high-circuit results separate as P0A14 and P0A16. A simplified description such as 'mount fault' loses the distinction that should guide the applicable electrical procedure.

Keep electrical evidence separate from mount performance

Preserve the full code and suffix along with available command/status information. The low classification is not a direct measurement of how effectively the mount isolates vibration. A vibration observation may provide context, but it cannot identify the electrical path that the controller classified.

The source does not locate a defect in the load, wiring or driver and supplies no universal resistance or activation test. Verification requires the exact vehicle's circuit definition and component mapping. A mount replacement cannot be justified solely by treating an electrical low result as proof of mechanical deterioration.
