Documented application

Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the cited monitor and transmission architectures. No individual vehicle fitment or universal calibration is inferred.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P0A16 is the high-circuit result for active engine mount A in Ford's table, represented in detail as P0A14_12. The document places A under bank 1, but does not translate that designation into a universal physical mount location.

A driver fault is matured by the controller

The source explains that the low-level driver reports a fault which the PCM strategy matures. The monitor runs continuously and lists five seconds to register a malfunction. The summary does not provide a universal connector voltage that defines high for every active-mount implementation.

Open circuit and circuit low have different A-channel entries. Retaining the detailed failure suffix is therefore more useful than merging them all into a generic mount-malfunction description.

Interpret current function cautiously

An apparently normal vibration level after the event does not reconstruct the electrical condition that was reported. Likewise, a vibration complaint cannot establish that a high-circuit classification is caused by the mount's mechanical structure. The electrical and isolation-performance questions require different evidence.

A diagnostic record should retain the full module result and available command/status context. The exact circuit procedure must determine where the electrical condition originates. Ford's summary supplies no pinout, external activation instruction or replacement rule, so a component decision requires vehicle-specific evidence beyond the generic code and bank/control label.
