Documented application

2025 GM 25OBDG07A Part 2 monitor tables only; model, engine and transmission applicability are not established by the unresolved application-matrix filename join.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P2093 concerns the bank 2 intake camshaft actuator's electrical driver in this GM calibration. The monitor is looking for a high output voltage during the driver's on state, a response it classifies as a short-to-power fault.

Why command state is essential

A low-side driver is expected to change the circuit's electrical condition when activated. The diagnostic therefore judges the voltage together with the command, not as an isolated “high voltage” reading. The source lists a one-second failure period for this assessment.

The enable conditions span the page boundary: ignition must be on, the ECU must be in its drive state and the documented voltage and basic eligibility conditions must be satisfied. Referenced inhibition rules also apply. Observing a code after an inhibited interval does not show that the monitor ran continuously during that interval.

Keep an electrical fault separate from a timing error

This code does not directly demonstrate that the camshaft moved too far, too slowly or in the wrong direction. It addresses the actuator control circuit's response. Cam-angle behavior may be useful additional evidence, but it is not the criterion shown in this row.

Retain the actuator identity, commanded state and electrical diagnostic category. Then use the actual engine's circuit information to determine where an unwanted power connection could arise. The source does not isolate the wiring, solenoid or ECU as the failed part, and its bank/actuator designation should not be converted into a guessed physical location.
