P2602: Low pump-control evidence must be separated from low supply voltage
Understand Ford P2602 output-driver monitoring and its distinction from the separate pump A supply-voltage fault.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD summary, July 16, 2024 revision; only the described monitor and architecture. Model, engine and calibration fitment are not inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P2602 is the low control-circuit classification for Ford’s auxiliary coolant pump A. The documented detailed code is P2600_11, and the listed mechanism is an output-circuit fault reported by a smart driver. This is a control-path assessment, rather than a measurement of coolant temperature or flow.
Low circuit and low supply are different questions
The same pump family includes a separate supply-voltage-out-of-range entry, P2B9D/P2600_1C. It is therefore incorrect to assume that every low-control fault simply means the vehicle battery is low.
The circuit monitor requires at least 11 V battery voltage, executes continuously and lists five seconds of monitoring. Those conditions describe eligibility and timing; the summary does not give a connector voltage that can be used as a universal low-circuit cutoff.
Use the pump’s stated role
In this document, pump A is the high-temperature auxiliary cabin-heating pump. Confirm that role against the vehicle before selecting a diagram, especially where several coolant pumps are fitted.
A useful verification record distinguishes the smart-driver report from battery voltage, requested pump operation and any separate supply or performance code. The source does not localize the fault to a wire, motor or module. A suitable circuit procedure must establish which path produced the low classification, rather than treating the code as proof that the coolant system needs a mechanical pump replacement.
