Documented application

2025 GM 25OBDG07A Part 2 monitor tables only; model, engine and transmission applicability are not established by the unresolved application-matrix filename join.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P2094 is the low-circuit diagnosis for the bank 2 “B” camshaft position actuator. In the cited GM table, “B” is identified as the exhaust actuator. That distinction prevents an intake-actuator test from being substituted for the circuit actually named by the monitor.

Low voltage is judged when the driver is off

The source describes a short-to-ground pattern in the low-side driver circuit, observed as low voltage during the off state. Its stated failure period is 0.2 seconds. The result is an electrical classification, not a calculation of how accurately the exhaust camshaft followed a requested angle.

Ignition and ECU drive state are among the enabling conditions. Battery voltage must also be within the listed window, and the continuation on the next page references additional enable and inhibition information.

What changes the diagnostic direction

A voltage value without the command state is incomplete evidence. The same circuit can be intentionally driven low during operation, so the recorded failure must be tied to the off-state observation described by the controller.

A sensible investigation first establishes the correct bank 2 exhaust control path from vehicle-specific information, then separates a ground fault from an open or a short to power. The code does not tell where that path is physically located or whether its external load, wiring or internal driver caused the result. Treat mechanical timing checks as separate evidence, rather than assuming the electrical label proves a timing-chain or oil-control problem.
