P2460: Low pressure-sensor B voltage does not directly prove low filter pressure
Understand Ford P2460’s analog signal threshold and why the pressure-sensing architecture must be confirmed first.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD summary, July 16, 2024 revision; only the described monitor and architecture. Model, engine and calibration fitment are not inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P2460 identifies the low analog circuit condition for particulate-filter pressure sensor B in Ford’s gasoline summary. It maps to P245E_16, with a sensor-voltage criterion below 0.3 V for five seconds. That electrical condition is different from establishing that the particulate filter has unusually low backpressure.
Analog voltage and digital status are different paths
The low/high/intermittent circuit group runs continuously and lists five seconds of monitoring. Ford describes SENT pressure sensors in a separate section with circuit-status and lost-communication codes. The analog voltage threshold must not be applied automatically to a digital communication line.
The B designation identifies the monitored pressure channel in this table. It is not sufficient evidence to infer a particular bank, hose connection or physical sensor location on every vehicle.
Preserve the electrical event before interpreting pressure
Retain the exact subtype, sensor architecture, signal history and any related supply or communication findings. A calculated pressure value derived from an electrically suspect signal is not independent confirmation of actual filter pressure.
The source does not localize the low voltage to the sensor, wiring or controller input. It also supplies no universal connector pin or sensor resistance curve. Vehicle-specific circuit verification must establish the fault path before the code is used to support a sensor replacement or a mechanical particulate-filter diagnosis.
