Documented application
2025 GM 25OBDG06C documented monitor only. Vehicle, engine and calibration applicability must be confirmed from the matching service information; no model fitment is inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P2763 concerns a short-to-power electrical classification in the torque-converter clutch pressure-control solenoid circuit. The GM monitor relies on the solenoid driver’s hardware fault indication. It is not directly measuring converter slip or deciding that lockup pressure is excessive.
Confirm the hardware indication across samples
The short-to-power indication must persist for at least three consecutive samples. With a 20 ms checking frequency, the row lists 60 ms as the time requirement. A single flagged observation is different from that completed persistent result.
The high-side supply driver must be enabled, and specified actuator-supply faults must not have failed during the key cycle. Those conditions matter because the controller needs an operating supply arrangement before interpreting the solenoid’s own driver indication.
Keep starting conditions separate
If the engine is cranking, the summary adds restrictions on cranking duration and battery voltage. A fault observation outside those qualifiers cannot automatically be compared with an eligible running test. Preserve whether cranking was occurring when the result was recorded.
The useful diagnostic evidence is the precise electrical classification, its persistence and the supply-driver state. An apparently normal converter response during another driving condition does not disprove the electrical event. Conversely, this code alone does not identify the shorted location or justify replacing the converter, solenoid or transmission controller. Localization requires the vehicle-specific circuit procedure.
