P0755: Solenoid B continuity and solenoid B function are separate questions
Understand Ford P0755 open-circuit evidence and why the B-channel identifier does not identify a universal valve location.

Documented application
Ford 2024–2025 gasoline OBD operation summary, July 16 2024 revision; only the cited monitor and transmission architectures. No individual vehicle fitment or universal calibration is inferred.
The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.
P0755 is the general Ford monitor's open-circuit result for shift solenoid B. The source describes a driver-reported electrical fault; it does not measure a valve's mechanical freedom directly. That distinction is important when the code appears alongside a complaint about a particular shift.
Read the control-path result first
The electrical monitor runs continuously and requires the smart driver's fault report to persist for a typical 1.5 seconds. The functional monitor uses transitions and accumulated bad events instead. A current measurement taken without its commanded state does not reproduce either strategy completely.
Ford's architecture tables pair P097B with P0755_13 for the B-channel open-circuit category. They separately list P0976 and P0977 for ground and power shorts. The full scanner representation and transmission identification are therefore more informative than the bare words 'solenoid B.'
What would improve the diagnosis
Preserve the electrical code status, command history and any simultaneous supply or driver faults. A later successful shift cannot show which part of a previously interrupted circuit was responsible. Likewise, a persistent mechanical response problem does not prove that this particular open-circuit classification is false.
The letter B is a control-channel designation, not an evidenced universal position inside every transmission. The summary supplies no pinout or resistance target. A replacement decision needs the matching electrical procedure to separate the load, its wiring and driver path while retaining the original failure classification.
