P217F: The group H high-circuit row contains an injector-number conflict

Understand the supported off-state electrical logic of GM P217F and why its internal channel label must be resolved before selecting hardware.

Documented application

2025 GM 06B documented monitor only. Vehicle, engine and controller calibration applicability must be established separately; no model fitment is inferred from the file.

The code alone does not identify a failed part or establish that a vehicle is safe to drive. Confirm the vehicle, reporting module and applicable service procedure.

P217F is the high supply-circuit entry for injector group H. The GM table heading says injector 8 high-side output, but the strategy sentence says injector 7. That unresolved internal label difference must not become a guessed physical-cylinder assignment.

The electrical behavior is nevertheless described

The monitor evaluates feedback while the high-side output is off and classifies a connection toward controller power. Its published electrical criterion is no more than one volt between signal and controller power. That is a relative difference, not a one-volt-to-ground specification.

The listed enables require at least 11 V battery supply and absence of the relevant P062B fault states. Ten failures within twenty samples are evaluated on a 100-millisecond task, with one-trip reporting. The source supports interpreting those electrical conditions without deciding which inconsistent injector number is intended.

Preserve the exact channel status for clarification

Capture the controller's expanded output identification, off command and signal-to-power relationship. A high signal during an on command does not reproduce the documented test. A later normal sample also cannot reconstruct the earlier qualifying sequence.

The correct vehicle calibration and wiring information must resolve the output mapping before probing or replacing hardware. The table does not identify the location of the power-directed path or prove that an injector is mechanically leaking. Its useful circuit logic should remain separate from the unresolved channel name.
